#3: I Do Everything for You

#3: I Do Everything for You

Ever said, “I do everything for you?” Or something like it? Ugh. Perhaps it was one of those “pull your hair out,” moments, all you want is to get your teens to listen and care. Mmmm, yeah, so let’s move onto what could actually work besides shaming them.

First stop sacrificing everything for them (tune in to hear why). Seriously, the frustration and guilt of feeling unheard and unappreciated can cause resentment, but it also causes disconnect too.  There’s a better way to break free from this cycle and improve YOURSELF and your relationship with your teen.

It’s time to feel good about parenting without comparison. And hey, if you can get your kid on board, even better!

In this episode, you will hear how:

  • Threats, shaming statements & any “controlling” behavior won’t work, learn what does.
  • To make it easier on yourself while growing your young teen into a more responsible, happy and confident human.
  • Take steps to stop personalizing your teen, so that you stop beating yourself up.
  • Parenting a teen can be done in a way, way less stressful manner.
  • Communication without force and strengthening family bonds.
