Let’s Impact 2 Million Overachieving Teens By the End of 2025

Some teens appear stoic, while others share their misery, but all of the overachievers fear criticism and disappointment. Therefore, they may not show any sign of perceived “weakness.”at their own expense. Often this group is overlooked as having any emotional issues, as they seem self-directed, committed and excel (or try) academically.

If it were that simple, we would not need to do anything.

But it’s not the case.

Suicide seems a strong word to use, but from young teens through college, there have been a spike in suicides that are considered to be “just fine.”

These young teens may be following in the footsteps of who they have been conditioned to believe is a role model, adopting the mindset of sucking it up, doing the right thing, and being perfect. Unfortunately, few, if any, can maintain that level of perfectionism.

Have us help YOU and the overachieving perfectionist teens in your environment to deal with either self-imposed pressures or external pressures calling for perfectionism.

The often hidden anxiety about performance or being accepted, loved and liked is key to challenging so they can continue their journey with confidence and resilience.

Building Strong Foundations

In today's culture of overachieving, it has not improved anxiety, depression, or stress in young teens. You can join us at the forefront, offering a transformative structure to delve into what behavior keeps these teens in a cycle of destructive over-commitment based on a lack of self-worth.

Achievements are temporary; they never bring self-value, but learning how to navigate their emotional well-being can bring the greatest value to their lives.

It’s a different take on self-awareness, how to feel feelings, and the “how” of emotionally risky action. Our facilitators help connect the dots to intrinsic confidence and safety for young teens.

The Program: Building Confidence in Children

A Closer Look:

Without confidence there is “drive,” in overachievers. It is not a healthy form of motivation and is a way of trying to feel “okay, acceptable, liked, loved or avoid punishment.” Even though these teens are not usually disruptive toward others, they are not truly engaged or connected in their lives.

Middle school is the perfect time to start addressing the issue of emotional well-being, overachieving, people pleasing and perfectionism. With the brain development of this age group, changes they make in behavior are more liable to “stick,” as compared to adults. The issue of the young teens emotional growth sets the stage for how they approach their life as they mature.

Our programs focus on deeper behavioral patterns to address the intrinsic needs of young teens. This well-rounded, interactive approach equips teens with the tools to create an inner sense of safety and trust themselves through their choices.

Our Approach:

Facilitating a blend of experiential learning, focused questioning, interactive activities and emotionally supportive guidance that is backed by behavioral studies and real-world experiences, teens will benefit in an obvious manner as results have shown thus far.

All Inclusive

Let Growtrinsic Facilitate Your Group

Our all-inclusive option provides a dedicated facilitator, either in person or via Zoom, who will lead young teens in repetition, through our 12-session modulated program.

"In repetition" means putting more than one group through the program in a calendar year. This flexibility allows your organization to choose. If you are a school, for example, the program can fit into existing schedules, run as an after-school program, or stand alone.

Our primary aim is to create the ideal environment for the benefit of young teens. Instead of navigating these goals independently, this ensures sustained positive impact through ongoing facilitator support and program access.

Meet Tracy,

Leading the movement from Anxious Perfectionism to Emotional Intelligence

Tracy Crossley is a leader and author in emotional growth and self-determination for kids and adults. With a Master's in Psychology, plus her book, “Overcoming Insecure Attachment,” and insights through close to 20 years of working with individuals and her own research, she is implicit on why “feelings matter,” as they lead to positive emotional well-being and intrinsic confidence.

Tracy spent most of her life as a perfectionist who would compete with herself, and was always doing the “extra,” to feel she had worth. As a recovering overachiever, she has witnessed the unspoken issues of those who look like they have it all together on the outside, but are anxious, or falling apart on the inside.

In working with young teens, it is a crucial time of development where the prefrontal cortex and the brain itself is in a remodeling phase, creating an opportunity to change painful behaviors and discover authentic truths about each teen’s intrinsic motivation. As the parent of three grown children, she knows the impact needed for this generation of overachievers to wield strength in facing complexities with resilience and a strong sense of self.

Tracy aims to impact 2 million young overachievers by 2025, equipping them with the skills to turn insecurities into growth opportunities and self-doubt into a foundation for success.

Join her in this mission.
